- Tanja HornMay 19, 2022Fixed inconsistencies in DIRC frame, hpDIRC and MPGD:
Iterated hpDIRC position as balance between phi-coverage and frame engineering strength need;
added 2-cm space for MPGD tracker (muRWell or MM) on top of DIRC bar boxes --> now 5cm slot for both together;
added slots for service needs in frame - Tanja HornJune 24, 2022Development of EIC Geometry Management System complete
- Tanja HornJuly 01, 2022First release of the geometry and master parameter table
- Tanja HornAugust 22, 2022At the request of the GD/I WG added explicitly space for an inner MPGD barrel tracker. Additional detail:
In the ECCE geometry table, the two barrel muRWell trackers (R=33, 51 cm) are lumped with the silicon tracker as 'Inner Tracker' extending from R=3-51 cm, plus a detector-free space from R=51-60 cm (low mass BdL region for enhancing low momentum tracking)
In the 24-June-2022 EPIC geometry table [https://eic.jlab.org/Geometry/Detector/Detector-20220624102507.html], silicon tracker extends from R=3-45.9cm. Nonetheless, there is a detector-free space from R=45.9-63 cm
The current simulation campaign setup include one muRWell layer at R=51 cm too. And I agree it is prudent to leave the space to allow inner MPGD barrel tracker, if the tracking study find them needed. - Tanja HornSeptember 05, 2022At request of the EIC Project Leads updated the dimensions in the Hadron Endcap. Additional detail:
dRICH: Length changed to 120cm; gas length changed to 100cm starting at z=215cm; aerogel length remains at 20cm starting now at 195cm
EMCAL: length remains at 38cm; start remains at z=328cm
HCAL: changed length to 142cm (including readout); front face starts at z=358cm
Total length of the Hadron endcap so that ends at z=500cm - Tanja HornSeptember 05, 2022Fixed the labeling of the columns "Physical Start" and "Physical End"
- Tanja HornSeptember 29, 2022At request of the EIC Project Leads: overall update on detector envelopes consistent with the mechanical CAD model was implemented. Additional detail:
Hadron endcap HCAL: position adjusted
Hadron endcap EMCal: position adjusted, inner radius adjusted, and fixed a typo in the length
Barrel HCAL: length and outer radius adjusted
Barrel EMCal: positions adjusted
Solenoid: added offset from center 10 cm to allow for barrel EMCal (independent of technology) support structure and servides; adjusted positions
Electron Endcap mRICH: adjusted length, outer radius (including 2 cm of support structure), and positions
Electron Endcap TOF: REMOVED
Electron Endcap EMCal: position adjusted for hermeticity with barrel EMCal, inner radius adjusted
