Oct 16, 2024Referencing Global StandardsQuestion: How will governing standards (NFPA, NEMA, etc.) be integrated into the requirements and how will they be identified where needed? 1) All pertinent standards have been identified in a published EIC Code of Record. 2) At the highest level (EIC Project) general requirements will be added that identify each of the governing standards in the EIC Code of Record. 3) At the performance requirement level, each sub-system will identify the specific standard that is applicable to them as an individual requirement. Example: If the Code of Record identifies Standards A-Z, but only standards A and C are applicable to a sub-system, then that sub-system must include performance requirements of the form: "The component shall be designed to meet the standards defined by Standard A as directed by the EIC Code of Record."
"The component shall be designed to meet the standards defined by Standard C as directed by the EIC Code of Record."
